Tre Williams arrested for DWI, announces he’s going to NFL Draft
Less than 24 hours after reports came out about a DWI arrest involving defensive end Tre Williams in Fayetteville, the stand-out defensive end took to Twitter to announce he will be leaving the program and enter the NFL draft.

“My time here has been amazing ever since I arrived last summer. Although it was for a short time, y’all welcomed me with open arms and allowed me to experience the best collegiate season I could have asked for.
With that being said, I have decided it is best for me to pursue my NFL dreams and move on to the next level.
With regards to what happened early this morning I want to apologize for what occurred and not representing the state and logo the way it should be represented, which is with pride and honor.
I know nothing I can say can change what has happened, but as a man I have accepted the consequences and will do better to prove that I am not that type of person.
I am sincerely grateful for the relationships I have made and the connections that I have built here at the University of Arkansas. I will always consider this place a second home and wish nothing but the best for this team and the Razorback Nation.

Williams did not clarify whether he still planned to participate in the Outback Bowl in Tampa Bay against Penn State should he not be suspended.
Williams arrested after DWI on Saturday night
Arkansas might be down another player against Penn State in the Outback Bowl this New Year’s Day.
Defensive end Tre Williams, who burst into the national spotlight with a dominating performance against Texas early in the season, was arrested for a DWI last night.
Williams was officially booked at 1:50 a.m. by the Fayetteville police.
Williams is responsible for six of Arkansas’s 22 sacks on the season. He produced personal season highs twice with a pair of sacks against Texas A&M and another two against Mississippi State in key wins.
The incident took place at 1:11 a.m. on Sunday when Williams was found asleep at the wheel in the McDonald’s drive through on West Martin Luther King Boulevard with the vehicle running and in park.
After a field sobriety test, it was determined Williams was too intoxicated to operate a vehicle. Williams was then transported to Washington County Detention Center where he registered a BAC of .09. He was later released on bond, which was set at $765.00. Williams is scheduled for a hearing Monday morning.

Goforth has sixth straight game hitting double figures in Hogs’ win over UCA
NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas (10-2) earned its 10th victory of the season Saturday afternoon, downing Central Arkansas (4-6), 82-44, in Simmons Bank Arena.
With the win, the Razorbacks swept their in-state schedule. The Hogs also took down Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Arkansas State and Little Rock during the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Sophomore guard Sasha Goforth continued to roll in this one, as she went for a game-high 17 points in just over 22 minutes played.
The Fayetteville native has found the stroke as of late, as she has now scored in double-figures in six straight games. Jersey Wolfenbarger was nipping at Goforth’s heals, matching her career-high against the Sugar Bears, going for 16 points.
Turning point
Though it was tight initially, the Hogs ended the first frame up six points.
Goforth led the charge in the quarter, scoring eight of her 17 points, making two of her three shots, and all three of her free throws. Arkansas would then push the lead out to double-digits in period two, though the Sugar Bears would get it as close as seven points with under two minutes to go in the quarter.
The Hogs responded though, with Goforth scoring seven straight points, helping the Razorbacks end the quarter on a 7-1 run, pushing their lead to 13 at the intermission.
Arkansas blew it wide open in the third, opening on a 10-2 run. Wolfenbarger, Makayla Daniels, Samara Spencer and Goforth would all contribute, and the run sealed the win.
Hogs highlights
• Spencer returned to double-figures, scoring 15 points. She also dished a career-best six assists.
• Rylee Langerman was a monster on the glass, pulling down a career-best eight boards.
• Daniels did it all in this one, scoring 11 points, dished three assists, pulled down six rebounds and swiped six steals, a career-best.
• Junior forward Destinee Oberg was at it again, scoring 10 points for the second straight game.
Next game
The Hogs finish their non-conference schedule at home on Tuesday, as Creighton comes to Bud Walton Arena on Dec. 21.
That game tips at 1 p.m. and will air on SEC Network+.
