FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will play one of the three teams it faces twice this season when the LSU Tigers come to Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2.

The Razorbacks hit the road this weekend to face No. 8/9 Texas A&M on Saturday then play at No. 1/2 Auburn the following Wednesday.

After those two road games, Arkansas will host Missouri (Feb. 22) and Texas (Feb. 26) – the other two teams on the schedule Arkansas will face twice this year.

Game Notes:

LSU’s overall success at the free throw line played a key role in the win. The Tigers were 26-of-28 at the line, including Cam Carter making all 10 of his, while Arkansas was just 11-of-13 at the stripe. The game was a series of runs. First, LSU closed the first half and opened the second with a 22-8 run as the Tigers not only took their first lead but went up 40-39. Arkansas answered with an 11-0 run to lead 50-43. However, LSU bounced back with a 20-3 spurt and led 64:55 with 6:07 left. From there, Boogie Fland scored nine straight points for Arkansas and cut the Razorback deficit to three, 68-65. Later, down seven, Trevon Brazile made a 3-pointer and Adou Thiero made two free throws to get the Hogs to within two, 76-74, before Sears sealed the win with his two free throws.

• Despite doing many things that would normally win a basketball, the Razorbacks lost to Alabama.
