FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Nike EYBL Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina, has turned into a showcase week for players tied to Arkansas basketball.
A top target and two future Hogs have all turned in strong outings as the event winds toward its final day.
Lewis Uvwo, a 5-star center Arkansas hopes to land, put together one of the loudest performances of the week.
According to Jacob Davis of Arkansas Razorbacks On SI, the 6-foot-11 senior-to-be racked up 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 58-51 win over a Team Herro squad led by Duke commit Kason Kueppel.
Razorbacks coach John Calipari watched courtside.
Uvwo ranks as the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2027 class and carries a massive 7-foot-7 wingspan with a 9-foot-3 standing reach.
His five blocks per game lead the entire Peach Jam field heading into Friday’s matchup against Jet Academy. Landing him would give Calipari a true rim protector at the center of a loaded 2027 board.
Thompson keeps lighting up scoreboard
Davion Thompson, a 5-star guard already committed to Arkansas, has been one of the tournament’s most efficient scorers.
Davis reported the 6-foot-2 guard is averaging 20 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals a game, good for eighth among all Peach Jam scorers.
Thompson is hitting better than 41 percent from the field and 43 percent from deep.
His signature outing came in a 73-68 loss to Mokan Elite, when Thompson dropped 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting with seven assists and four rebounds.
Connor Goodson of 247Sports confirmed the same 24-point line and said Thompson’s Meanstreets squad sits at 0-3 despite his individual production, with turnovers not an issue since he committed just one that game.
Goodson added that Thompson and his team close pool play Friday against Indy Heat and Brad Beal Elite.
Wins won’t come easy given the team’s record, but scouts following the event keep pointing to Thompson’s shot-making as tournament-best regardless of the final standings.
Ourigou impacts winning without scoring much
Caleb Ourigou, a 4-star center and Arkansas’ newest pledge, has taken a different path to a strong week.
Davis noted Ourigou is putting up six points, 10 rebounds and two blocks a game while shooting 58 percent from three, numbers that rank fourth in rebounding across the whole field.

In a triple-overtime win over the Florida Rebels, the 6-foot-10 big man scored just six points but grabbed 11 rebounds, three of them on the offensive glass, to go with a block. Teammate Troy Fason Jr. carried the scoring load with 41 points in that game.
Ourigou posted a near-identical line two days earlier in a loss to the Utah Prospects, pulling down 11 boards and blocking three shots despite only four points.
Goodson reported his NY Rens squad sits at 1-2 and needs help to stay alive, with games against Team Melo and Team Thad still left on Friday.
Both Davis and Goodson pointed to the same subplot hanging over both players.
Thompson and Ourigou remain technically part of the 2027 class, but each is expected to reclassify into the 2026 class and suit up for the Razorbacks this coming season.
Goodson wrote that no formal reclassification announcement has come yet, though the expectation across recruiting circles is that word will come once Peach Jam wraps.
Should both players reclassify as expected, Arkansas would add two more pieces to what’s already shaping up as one of the youngest rosters in the sport.
Between Uvwo’s pursuit and the reclassification chatter around Thompson and Ourigou, the Hogs’ 2026 and 2027 board keeps building momentum out of Peach Jam.
