FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas senior guard Davonte Davis announced in a social media post Wednesday that he will play his senior season with the Razorbacks. He declared for the NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility.
“He provides so much being a competitor,” Arkansas coach Eric Musselman said Wednesday at the SEC Spring Meetings. “He knows the system and he can play so many positions. He can play 1-4 and he’s got a ton of experience in the [SEC]. I think all those factors are important.”

Now Musselman has his leader back for another run. Forwards Trevon Brazile, Makhi Mitchell and Jalen Graham, and guard Joseph Pinion have previously stated plans to play a second season with the Razorbacks.
They’ve added newcomers transfer commitments in Khalif Battle (Temple), Tramon Mark (Houston), Keyon Menifield (Washington), Jeremiah Davenport (Cincinnati) and El Ellis (Louisville) and freshmen Baye Fall along with Layden Blocker. Trevon Brazile, Makhi Mitchell and Jalen Graham, and guard Joseph Pinion have previously stated plans to play a second season for the Hogs.
Musselman just has to figure out how to make it all work out on the floor. But at least he’s got his floor general back for a fun run.
In recent games, the top of Dave Van Horn’s batting order has fallen off and that has to return.
With everyone talking about an eight or nine-game conference games, Hunter Yurachek doesn’t see reason to fix if not broke.
