FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — This was about as ugly as any Arkansas game seen during any era you want to name. They finished it 4-8 and didn’t put up much of a fight in the last game, losing to Missouri, 48-14, in a game that was essentially over by the midway point in the second quarter.

Starting quarterback KJ Jefferson was knocked out of the game in the first period and things went downhill with Missouri scoring 34 unanswered points. It was 20-0 at halftime and nobody in the small crowd figured the Razorbacks had a chance — or any interest — in doing anything about it.

There will be small gathering today at Razorback Stadium for the last game of the year with Missouri that didn’t really come close to striping it out. a lot of yellow in the crowd today.

Arkansas comes into the game with a 4-7 record (1-6 SEC) while Missouri is playing for a shot at New Year’s Six game with a 9-2 record (5-2). The Razorbacks will be in solid red while the Tigers will have black helmets, yellow tops and black points, strongly resembling a bumblebee.

No clouds are in the sky, but it is hovering around 50 degrees and will be dropping fast into the 40’s. Wind will not be a factor unles something blows through the mountains in a hurry.

1Q 9:12: Tigers strike first on second possession as the Hogs have an apparent lack of interest in tackling running back Cody Schrader. He has 47 yards on five carries with a 2-yard run to cap off a 54-yard drive. The Hogs have -5 in offense after opening drive and KJ Jefferson is 2-of-2 passing for 2 yards. Tiger 7, Hogs 0

1Q 4:45: After a 22-yard run, Jefferson fumbled and Missouri recored. The quarterback was taken to the injury tent and will miss at least the next drive to Jacolby Criswell. The Tigers drive 41 yards in 10 plays before getting a 24-yard field goal from Harrison Mevis to stretch the lead. Tiger 10, Hogs 0

2Q 5:35: The Razorbacks piling up mistakes, giving Tigers second chances and they don’t waste it. Quarterback Brady Cook ran through a gaping hole from three yards out and now the pit for the Razorbacks may be too deep. Tiger 17, Hogs 0

2Q :49: Hogs’ defense starting to show a little life, keeping Missouri out of end zone, but Schrader has 192 yards rushing on 22 carries in first half. Mevis kicks a 22-yard field goal and it’s not even close at halftime. Tiger 20, Hogs 0

3Q 11:43: Tigers go 38 yards in five plays to Brett Norfleet and it’s close to a runaway. Tigers 27, Hogs 0

3Q 11:32: It’s officially headed to a blowout game and Missouri is now going to make a statement for a New Year’s Six bowl game. Tigers 34, Hogs 0

3Q 7:16: How bad can this get and how much of an embarrassment can Razorback fans endure? After getting a first down, Jacolby Criswell is hit by Chuck Hicks and fumbles, Miz Jernigan picks it up and rumbles into the end zone and it continues to get worse. Tigers 41, Hogs 0

4Q 11:35: The Razorbacks avoid a shutout, which is about the most positive thing that can be said. Let’s hope Pittman doesn’t use it as proof this time didn’t let go of the rope. At this point they aren’t even playing for pride, but maybe to get some good film for whatever they do next year. Criswell throws an 8-yard pass to Andrew Armstrong in the corner of the end zone for a score, causing a ripple in the flood. Tigers 41, Hogs 7

4Q 5:48: Razorbacks backups against Missouri’s reserves might have been more interesting. Hogs drive 70 yards in eight plays and Isaiah Augustave gets the final 6 yards. Tigers 41, Hogs 14
