Arkansas’ Chelsea Dungee (33 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) also made a huge defensive play against a Florida team that wouldn’t go away.
Hogs snap losing streak behind four players hitting double figures
Four Arkansas players got into double figures scoring as Arkansas bounced back from two straight losses to finally subdue a pesky Florida team, 84-80.
The 17th-ranked Razorbacks upped their record to 11-4 overall (2-3 in the SEC) while the Gators fell to 7-6 overall (0-5).
Redshirt senior guard Chelsea Dungee took over in this one, lighting up the scoreboard to the tune of 33 points, a new season-high.
She did a ton of her damage at the free throw line, hitting all 17 of her free throw attempts, matching her career-high in freebies made (17-19, Auburn in 2019), which is a program record.
Redshirt senior Destiny Slocum continued her strong play for the Hogs, scoring 17 points and grabbing five rebounds. Amber Ramirez and Makayla Daniels also scored in double-figures, notching 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Turning point
Arkansas held the lead for almost the entire game, maintaining the edge on the scoreboard for 37 minutes of the game’s 40 minutes.
While the Gators’ defense stepped up in the second half, the Razorbacks never allowed Florida to take the lead after the game’s opening minutes.
Arkansas exploded for 52 points in the first half, shooting 50 percent from three-point range and knocking down 16 of its 18 free throw attempts.
Dungee put up 20 points in the opening two frames, and Slocum added 13 on 6-8 shooting going into the intermission.
The second half was a different story, though, as both teams failed to continue their offensive performances in the final 20 minutes.
Both teams were bitten by the turnover bug in the fourth quarter, with the hometown Hogs committing five in the final minutes and the Gators losing seven possessions themselves.
Despite a monster game from Lavender Briggs, who dropped 41 points, Arkansas’s steady play at the charity stripe helped put the game on ice, as Dungee went a perfect 4-4 from the line and Taylah Thomas added a free throw late as well.

Hogs highlights
• Dungee scored 30+ for the tenth time in her career, and the second time this season.
• That is the most games ever of 30+ in program history.
• Dungee becomes the first Razorback to hit 17+ free throws in a game twice in a career.
• Senior forward Taylah Thomas led the Hogs on the glass, pulling down eight rebounds.
• Daniels was supremely efficient in the game, hitting all five of her shot attempts. She was also a team-high +13.

Hogs dig early 21-point hole they can’t climb out of against LSU
BATON ROUGE, La. — Eric Musselman may have been embarrassed as much as disappointed after watching his team stand by while LSU steamrolled them, 92-76.
It’s a game everybody will want to forget, but Musselman won’t anytime soon. In addition to the disappointment and embarrassment, he was probably a little ticked-off, too.
“Just an overall poor performance,” he said later.
That was an understatement and probably as measured as Musselman could be.
“LSU came out ready from the jump,” he said. “We had guys trying to do things that are not characteristic of them.”
The Razorbacks fell into a 21-point hole early in the first half and could not recover.

The Hogs scored the first four points of the game, but LSU used an 18-0 run to take a 22-7 lead. After an Arkansas basket by Desi Sills, LSU reeled off an 8-0 run to lead 30-9 with 10:35 left and was in control the rest of the way.
“Our shot selection was not good, which is indicative of our shooting percentage (34% for the game),” Musselman said. “We had eight assists. We didn’t have very good point guard play at all.”
The Tigers essentially hit the Hogs square in the mouth without getting anything back, then ran circles around them the rest of the way.
“LSU was more physical and tougher,” Musselman said.
Arkansas showed some fight in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 45-41 in the period, thanks to 13 second-half points from Moses Moody and 12 from Sills.
LSU had five players score in double figures, shot 53.1 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Razorbacks. 46-39.

Darius Days and Trendon Watford each recorded a double-double. Days finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Watford had a game-high 23 points and 10 boards.
JD Notae led Arkansas with 22 points with three steals. Moody added 18 and Sills 14.Jaylin Williams had 10 rebounds, seven points and two steals.
