When Eddie Sutton was there he had a guy that went around the arena and encouraged the crowd to get loud. They had a meter that gauged the noise level. That was Barn hill but it got loud, Does anyone remember that?
I do. When they played William Tale Overture (Lone Ranger Theme Song). I think it was the band director?
I was in school then at the U of A!!! It was crazy loud!!
It wasn’t just a guy, it was the band director. Can’t recall his name right now, but he was an energetic fellow
Jim Robkin and the Hof Wild Band. Those were the days!

I was one of the crazy students back in the 80’s. I have a hog wild hog hat that Jim Robkin gave me personally one night during the game!
Loved Jim Robken and his Hog Wild Band. It got the crowd in to the game. He is at Louisiana Tech, Ruston! I went to school with Jim in El Dorado,Ar!
