FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Tennessee leads this series 14-7. You wouldn’t know it from the last few trips the Vols have made to Fayetteville.
They’ve lost four in a row there. The most recent came Oct. 5, 2024, when a Tennessee team ranked No. 4 walked out of Razorback Stadium on the wrong end of a 19-14 score.
Now the Vols are back, ranked No. 15 this time.
Arkansas vs. Tennessee is set for 3:15 p.m. Saturday on SEC Network. It’ll be the 22nd time they’ve played.
The Razorbacks are home again after going to Texas A&M last weekend for their first SEC road game.
A win gives the Hogs five straight in Fayetteville over the same league opponent. That hasn’t happened since they did it to Ole Miss, and that one took from 2010 to 2022 to finish.
Go back to 2011 and Arkansas has won four of the last five in this series no matter where the game was played.
So much for the all-time record.
Bogle had 16 tackles last week
Ben Bogle made 16 tackles at Texas A&M. Sixteen.
It’s the fifth-most anybody in the country has had in one game this season.
You have to go back to Drew Sanders on Oct. 8, 2022, at No. 22 Mississippi State to find a Razorback who had that many.
The linebacker from Ponte Vedra, Fla., is up to 35 for the year. Nobody on the team has more.
Here’s the part that stands out. He had 37 all of last season at West Virginia. He’s two away from that and he’s played five games.
The Hogs also aren’t beating themselves with flags. Arkansas is giving away 48.4 penalty yards a game, which is third-best in the SEC.
The teams that come to Fayetteville can’t say that. Since 2021, opponents have averaged 2.5 false starts or delay of game penalties a game at Razorback Stadium.
Marshall hasn’t had an off week
Five games. Five times Chris Marshall has led the Razorbacks in receiving yards.
No Hogs receiver had started a season like that since Derek Russell in 1990.
He’s got an offense around him that likes to throw it. Arkansas already has 57 pass plays that went for at least 10 yards.
That’s third in the SEC and tied for 14th in the FBS.
The other Russell, running back Braylen, led the Razorbacks on the ground last week. He had 40 yards on seven carries.
Thirty of those came on one run in the third quarter. Nobody on either team had a longer one that day.
For him, it was the longest since Oct. 26, 2024, when he went 75 yards in a 58-25 win at Mississippi State.
A couple of streaks still alive
The Hogs have scored in 63 straight games.

The last team to shut out Arkansas was No. 2 Georgia on Oct. 2, 2021.
It’s the sixth-longest scoring streak the program has had. The last one that went longer lasted 64 games, from Nov. 14, 1987, to Nov. 11, 1995.
Put points on the board Saturday and the Razorbacks tie it.
Then there are extra points, which nobody thinks about until one gets missed. The Hogs have made 237 in a row.
That started Dec. 5, 2020. By date, it’s the longest one going in the country.
None of that tackles anybody Saturday. But the Vols haven’t won here in a while, and Arkansas would like to keep it that way.
