Arkansas turned in another clean weekend performance, knocking off UTA in straight sets Saturday night to log a second sweep in as many days at the Razorback Invitational.
The final scores read 25-20, 25-22 and 25-17, and the Hogs never trailed after the opening set.
Laci Bohannan made her Arkansas debut in the starting lineup and didn’t waste the opportunity.
The fifth-year transfer and Benton native finished with 15 kills on a .393 hitting percentage to go with five blocks and two aces. It was a full-value first outing for the newcomer.
Sophomore Parker Duncan matched Bohannan’s kill total, also finishing with 15 to share the team lead.
The Razorbacks got scoring balance from multiple spots on the floor rather than leaning on one hitter all night.
Setter Kiki Remensperger ran the offense and dished out 35 assists in the win.
That total pushed her past 1,500 for her career, a milestone she reached while also adding two aces of her own.
Freshman libero Madi Benne turned in her first double-digit dig performance of her young career, finishing with 10.
Her defensive night helped keep extended rallies alive for the Hogs.
Arkansas also brought the pressure at the net, finishing with 10.5 team blocks.
Senior Layla Smith led that effort with six blocks, and the Razorbacks hadn’t reached double-digit blocks as a team since September 2025.
Set-by-set breakdown from Barnhill Arena
The first set wasn’t as smooth as Friday’s opener.
UTA grabbed an early 5-4 edge before Arkansas answered with a 3-0 run, capped by a Bohannan ace that flipped the score to 7-5.
The Razorbacks stretched the lead to 11-7 behind another Remensperger ace, then held off a persistent Mustangs squad until a Duncan kill made it 17-14 and forced a UTA timeout.
The visitors pushed past 20 points, but a kill from Bohannan closed it out at 25-20.
Set two started well for Arkansas at 6-3 before UTA ripped off a 7-1 run to take a 10-7 lead.
The Hogs called timeout and answered with four straight points, tying things at 11-11 on a block from Smith and Romani Thurman.
UTA clawed back to a 20-19 edge before Arkansas reeled off three straight to reach set point. The Mustangs got one more, but a second Smith-Thurman block sealed a 25-22 win and a 2-0 match lead.
Set three stayed tight through the first 10 points until a 3-0 run, sparked by a Bohannan kill and a Gaby Cornier ace, gave Arkansas a 12-10 cushion.
The Razorbacks pushed the margin to four points ahead of the technical timeout, weathered a brief UTA rally, and reached 20 points first on a Smith kill.
UTA never got back within reach after that, and a Mustangs service error kicked off a closing 3-0 run for the Hogs, finished off by a block from Alexander and Bohannan.
