The Razorbacks needed just three minutes to show everyone this game wasn’t going to be close.
Arkansas soccer picked up its first win of the 2026 season with a 9-0 blowout of Little Rock on Sunday at Razorback Field, and seven different players found the back of the net along the way.
Senior forward Bella Field got things rolling fast. She scored twice in a span of only 35 seconds in the third minute, and both goals came from chaos in front of the box.
The first started as a free kick from junior midfielder Aniyah Nurse-Whyte, which sailed past the wall toward the far post before a Little Rock defender accidentally redirected it right onto Field’s foot.
Seconds later, Field tried to slide a pass across to sophomore forward Vailana Tu’ua, but Trojans goalkeeper Reese Potts got a piece of it.
Field pounced on the loose ball and drilled it into an empty net.
Arkansas kept pushing after that. Freshman midfielder Jordan Bryant made it 3-0 in the 27th minute, tucking home a cross from sophomore forward Natalie Wagner.
By halftime, the Hogs were dominating the shot count 16-2 and had already forced nine saves out of the Trojans defense.
Razorbacks pour it on after the break
Arkansas didn’t let up once the second half started.
Senior midfielder Kennedy Ball scored in the 48th minute after Tu’ua flicked a ball back through Field’s legs, setting Ball up for an easy finish.
Two minutes later, Ball turned playmaker herself, curling a corner kick along the ground to Wagner, who took one touch inside the box before firing past the far post.
From there, it was a parade of first-time scorers.
Freshman MacKenzie Gwin found the net in the 56th minute, followed by sophomore Paige Szymanski in the 75th and sophomore Kayla Morawietz in the 80th, the last one coming off a corner kick from freshman midfielder Ivy Harding.
Freshman Aynsley Nuckols capped the scoring in the 86th minute.
Goalkeepers Keegan Smith and Emily Jenkins split time in net and didn’t need to make a single save to lock down the shutout.
Jenkins checked in during the 65th minute and finished the job.
When the final whistle blew, Arkansas held a commanding 30-6 edge in shots and an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks, while forcing 14 saves overall from Little Rock.
Five Hogs score their first collegiate goals
Sunday’s rout produced plenty of milestones for a young Arkansas roster.
Bryant, Gwin, Szymanski, Morawietz and Nuckols all scored their first collegiate goals in the same match, while Szymanski, Harding and Nuria Craig each picked up their first career assists.
For Field, the day marked her third career brace and fourth multi-goal outing; she also had a hat trick during Arkansas’ 2023 NCAA Tournament match against Grambling.
The nine-goal outburst was Arkansas’s biggest scoring day since 2024, when the team beat Northwestern State 10-0.
Up next, the Razorbacks close out non-conference play at home against Jackson State, which enters at 0-4-0.
