Ryan Silverfield’s first fall camp schedule at Arkansas includes 25 practices, two scrimmages and a season opener against North Alabama.
The Arkansas football program has released its 2026 fall camp schedule and it marks a new era for the Razorbacks.
This will be Ryan Silverfield’s first fall camp as head coach and it kicks off next week in Fayetteville.
Practice one starts Wednesday Aug. 5 at 3:15 p.m. That’s the first of three straight practice days before the Hogs get their first break on Aug. 8.
Silverfield will hold a pre-camp press conference on Monday and players officially report to campus on Aug. 4.
Arkansas will run a total of 25 practices between Aug. 5 and Sept. 4.
The first five sessions will be held in shells and the Razorbacks won’t strap on full pads until practice six on Aug. 11. Two scrimmages are built into the schedule too.
The first comes Sunday Aug. 16 and the second lands Saturday Aug. 22.
Camp will start out as an afternoon operation but that changes once the school year begins.
The University of Arkansas opens its fall semester on Aug. 17 and starting the next day practices shift to mornings.
Silverfield’s group will get five total off days during camp including Aug. 8, Aug. 12, Aug. 17, Aug. 21 and Aug. 24.
Coaches, media availability spread through camp
Every Arkansas assistant is scheduled to meet with reporters at some point during fall camp and each session lines up with a different position group.
Defensive coordinator Ron Roberts speaks alongside players after practice one while offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey follows practice two. Special teams coordinator Chad Lunsford gets his turn with specialists after practice three.
From there the media viewing rotation keeps moving through the roster.
Defensive backs coaches join practice four while the receivers coach handles practice five.
Once the pads come on for practice six the defensive line coaches take their shot.
Offensive line coaches follow at practice seven the quarterbacks coach takes practice eight and the linebackers get their moment at practice nine.
Both scrimmages will be closed to the public and the second one on Aug. 22 won’t include any interviews afterward.
Media access becomes more limited as the month rolls along with several practices marked as closed or without any media time at all.
Season opener and broadcast plans set
Razorback fans will also get a new weekly show this fall.
The first episode of the Ryan Silverfield Show is set to air Wednesday, Aug. 26, on ESPN Arkansas 93.7 and 99.5 in Fayetteville, 95.3 in the River Valley, 96.3 in Hot Springs and 104.3 in Harrison-Mountain Home. It will be streamed on the HitThatLine app as well.
Silverfield gets one more media obligation before kickoff. He’ll hold a game week press conference at noon on Monday, Aug. 31, to preview the season opener.
That opener arrives Saturday Sept. 5 when the Razorbacks host North Alabama at Razorback Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. and the game will air on the SEC Network.
It caps off a long buildup for Arkansas and gives fans their first real look at Silverfield leading the Hogs in a game that counts.
The Razorbacks close out camp with practices 22 through 25 running from Sept. 1 through Sept. 4 giving the roster one final week to sharpen things up before the opener.
