Arkansas falls to No. 11 Ole Miss at home Friday
No. 11 Ole Miss defeated No. 46 Arkansas 4-1 on Friday night at George M. Billingsley Tennis Center.
FAYETTEVILLE — No. 11 Ole Miss defeated No. 46 Arkansas 4-1 on Friday night at George M. Billingsley Tennis Center.
The Rebels (12-5, 3-4 Southeastern Conference) won the doubles point and earned three singles victories for the team win.
In singles, Ole Miss stretched its lead to 3-0 with victories at the top two spots before sophomore Natsuho Arakawa beat No. 82 Tea Jandric 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 for the Razorbacks’ (5-10, 1-5 SEC) solo win.
The Rebels clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win from Anna Vrbenska at No. 5.
At the clinch, Razorbacks Martina Zerulo led 6-1, 6-5 at No. 6 and Mia Jurasic was up 3-2 in the third set at No. 3.
