Arkansas put together one of its most complete performances of the fall on Tuesday, beating Calgary 105-48 to close out a perfect trip through the Bahamas.
The Razorbacks left Nassau with a 4-0 record after their win over the University of Calgary capped off a strong week of basketball.
JJ Andrews led the way with 24 points, and he did it efficiently. The 5-star freshman hit 10 of 13 shots from the field and knocked down 3 of 4 three-pointers.
He also grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and came up with 4 steals and 2 blocks on defense.
Andrews scored in double figures in every game the Hogs played in the Bahamas, finishing the trip averaging 18 points and 7.5 rebounds a night.
Abdou Toure added 20 points of his own, giving Arkansas two players in double figures who combined for nearly half the team’s scoring output.
Calgary couldn’t keep pace after early push
Calgary came out firing from beyond the arc, making 3 of its first 6 three-point attempts and grabbing an early 11-9 lead with 17:38 left in the first half.
That lead didn’t last. Arkansas answered with a 20-3 run over the next four minutes and 20 seconds, turning a two-point deficit into a 43-18 advantage.
The Razorbacks took a commanding 66-29 lead into halftime and never let the Dinos back into the game.
Calgary isn’t a team to overlook. The Dinos qualified for the 2026 U Sports Final 8, the Canadian equivalent of the NCAA Tournament, and finished as national runner-up in 2025.
Arkansas still handled them with ease, posting its largest margin of victory in any game during the four-game Bahamas trip.
Jordan Smith injury a concern going forward
The one worrying moment for Arkansas came in the first half when 5-star freshman guard Jordan Smith went down favoring his ankle.
He needed help walking off the court initially before making his way to the treatment table under his own power. Smith didn’t return for the second half, and his status heading into the fall remains unclear.
The second half had a sloppy stretch for both teams. Arkansas and Calgary each went more than three minutes without scoring at one point, with Toure snapping the drought on a breakaway dunk.
Calgary’s own scoreless stretch lasted 5 minutes and 21 seconds before Eli Djordjvic connected with Josiah Francis on an alley-oop to end it.
During that span, the Razorbacks shot just 2 for 12 from the field while Calgary went 1 for 9.
Defense and ball movement stood out all trip
Arkansas closed the game strong on both ends.
The Razorbacks held Calgary to 23% shooting and forced 21 turnovers, adding 16 steals and 6 blocks.
Ball movement was a theme all week too, with Arkansas finishing with 27 assists against Calgary and topping 20 assists in three of its four Bahamas games.
Across the trip, the Hogs also beat the Bahamas national team 106-59, knocked off reigning Canadian champion Carleton University 98-58 and defeated defending Colombian champions Toros del Valle 91-49.
With the Bahamas trip behind them, the Razorbacks now shift their focus toward the fall.
Arkansas is expected to play three exhibition games before the regular season tips off.
