Multiple reports say Yurachek given new contract, raise

Multiple reports say Hogs athletics director Hunter Yurachek has signed a new contract with a hefty raise.

Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek has received a five-year extension that also comes with a pay raise, according to multiple outlets that filed Freedom of Information requests.

Yurachek will be paid $1.25 million a year, a 47.1 percent increase from his previous salary of $850,000. Reportedly, the contract was finalized Sunday and retroactive to Jan. 1.

Yurachek’s original contract was set to expire on Dec. 31 this year, had previously been extended through June 30, 2027. He will be under contract for the next five academic years.

He is also eligible to receive an annual bonus up to $175,000 if he meets particular criteria in his annual review with the chancellor.

The new contract will not be official until is approved by the UA Board of Trustees.
