How does their fan base stay around? I mean this is a bad college football team. They’ve gone straight down the toilet. A bowl? Wow what a mark or a bar to set. Things are really bad.
I’m not saying this to be sarcastic or a smart ass I’m just too sick to my stomach to go look. I feel really bad for everyone of the Razorback football players. They have but one collegiate football career that they have worked their butts off for most of their lives. The University of Arkansas has failed to provide a program with coaching included to facilitate the best possible program to developer these players and offer a quality competitive opportunity for them. It is my opinion that the decision makers selecting Chad Morris as head coach of the Razorback did so in poor judgement and without considering the impact that the hiring of an unproven coach to lead a team in arguably the toughest conference in college football. Further, it is likely that the University should evaluate the job performance of all parties involved in the decision simply for the reason if any student at the University performed their course work in a grossly substandard manner as is the case with the football program they would certainly be released for academic failure. It raises one huge concern to be considered in questioning what these players have been taught and coached on through spring and fall camp and now into the regular season. There performance would indicate a complete lack of understanding of the system and repetitive mistakes indicate a lack of coaching and the executition by the players more closely resembles a 6th grade play ground pick up football game. It seems without question that Chad Morris lacks the experience, knowledge and ability to lead a football program at the level required in the SEC. I will not attack him personally as he most likely has done his best and he has been effective with other programs to get the attention of the University of Arkansas. His enthusiasm and ambition can be appreciated however neither of those produce results.
My question at this time is Chad Morris still the head coach of the Razorback and secondly how does the University acknowledge and respond to the gross failure to the collegiate athletes that committed their college career to the U of A with the expectation of a program and coaching to be successful at this level. It is apparent that the University must acknowledge and correct this situation in the most expedient manner to recover any credability with current and future student athletes.
Razorback players your our team and we support you and will until the last breath. It’s time the focus be shifted where it needs to be at this time and accountability be demanded of those responsible.
One final thought. I am not knowledgeable on NCAA Rules and policy but if it’s not too far into the season perhaps Coach Morris should immediately Red Shirt every senior on this team to preserve their final year of eligibility. Given the facts we are most likely looking at a second 2 and 10 or at best 3 and 9 season. Utilizing the remaining games to develope Freshmen athletes while preserving your senior athletes would give additional time to coach these kids learning this complex Chad Morris system. Unconventional idea? Maybe. If it is an option should it be considered? Maybe. I certainly don’t see how it makes the outlook any uglier than the reality right in front of this program.
Your right I been a die hard razorback since I was kid. My family in Arkansas and my grandma made me a fan they did stuff for me after a bad car wreck letting me some players then somebody donated me tickets to a game. We just need a coach with experiment for the S.E.C
We need TWO more recruiting classes that have the same quality as the one that Coach Morris recruited this year. People do not seem to understand that Bielema did a HORRIBLE job recruiting. It’s gonna take a few years just to build up the talent pool.
Strutting on the field when you break up a pass while down 24 to 7 is an embarrassment to the player, the team and the state of Arkansas. Especially when the player was beaten on the field all night with missed tackles and interference penalties that gave the other team new life in their scoring drive. The DC needs to teach his players how to check their ego and become team players.
