Razorbacks set back by No. 6 South Carolina on road
No. 6 South Carolina defeated No. 48 Arkansas, 4-0, on Saturday at the Carolina Tennis Center.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 6 South Carolina defeated No. 48 Arkansas, 4-0, on Saturday at the Carolina Tennis Center.
The Gamecocks (18-3, 10-0 Southeastern Conference) earned the early advantage winning the doubles point and followed up in singles with three victories.
In doubles, South Carolina picked up its first victory at No. 3 and then clinched the point with a win at No. 2.
Arkansas’ No. 40 ranked duo of Ana Oparenovic and Tatum Rice was tied 5-5 with South Carolina’s Hadley Berg and Paige Cline at the clinch.
The Gamecocks went on to win at No. 3, 4, and 6 singles, respectively, for the overall match victory.

The Razorbacks (5-13, 1-8 SEC) will return to Fayetteville next weekend for its final two home matches against Alabama (April 6) and No. 15 Auburn (April 8).
