Anderson wastes no time, suspends Cook ‘indefinitely’

After senior forward Arlando Cook was arrested early Sunday morning, you had the feeling his second ding in less than a year was going to cost him.

Tuesday afternoon it did.

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson released a statement shortly before 5 p.m.:

“Senior forward Arlando Cook has been suspended indefinitely and will not be permitted to participate in any team activities. This is not a situation that will be taken lightly. This type of behavior is not condoned by our program.”

Cook was arrested early Saturday and charged with first-degree assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
