Austin (Texas) Bowie four-star wide receiver Elijah Higgins liked what he saw in Fayetteville this past weekend on an unofficial visit.

“The visit was amazing,” Higgins said. “It was my second time in Arkansas visiting the new construction and renovations were ridiculous.”

Higgins is a fan of Arkansas coach Chad Morris’ style of offense.

“Chad Morris is a great dude,” Higgins said. “I’ve been building a relationship with him since spring of 2017 with SMU being my first offer. The style of offense they run really utilized receivers and allows them to put up big productive numbers.”

Higgins is looking for a college that feels like home.

“I’m looking for compatibility,” Higgins said. “I want to go somewhere where I will fit into the wide receiver mold that utilizes me as the player I am.”

Higgins is planning an official visit later during the season?

“I may be back up sometime in October or November,” Higgins said.

Higgins has not set a timetable of his commitment status.

“I am not 100 percent sure the time when I will commit,” Higgins said.

Higgins also talked about his relationship with the Arkansas coaching staff.

“My relationship with a lot of the coaches is great just because I’m so familiar with them from back when they were at SMU,” Higgins said.

Higgins talked about his skill sets.

“My strengths as a football player are my unique blend of size and speed and physicality,” Higgins said. “I was blessed with a lot of natural talent.”

Higgins talked about what makes Arkansas different from any other school recruiting him.

“I’ve known the coaches since the beginning of the process.” Higgins said.

Higgins also had a  prediction on the Arkansas-Colorado State game on Saturday.

“I’m not 100 percent sure on how much Colorado State will score,” Higgins said. “But I am expecting another win from Arkansas.”

Higgins has over 40 offers, including from Alabama, Texas, Florida and Ohio State among others.
