Rockwall, Texas, class of 2020 four-star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba recapped his offer to Arkansas in a phone call this week

“I’m definitely blessed to be in this situation and thankful to have an opportunity to play at a great university like Arkansas.” Njigba said.

Here’s more from our conversation with him:

Njigba spoke on his top schools at the moment.

“I don’t have any top schools at the moment,” Njigba said. “I will know that around the end of this season hopefully.”

Njigba has a good relationship with the Arkansas coaching staff.

“My relationship with Arkansas is great,” Njigba said. “I’ve known that coaching staff for a while now. They are great people and the biggest relationship I have is with coach (Justin) Stepp.”

Njigba talked about his skill sets.

“I have a high motor,” Njigba said. “I make big plays and I run good routes and have good eye hand coordination. I’m a leader especially with the WR. I want to win and I would say I’m a winner. But I hate to lose most of all.”

Njigba elaborated on how Arkansas is different from any other school recruiting him.

“Arkansas is different because when they where at SMU they where the first to trust me as a player and know how I would develop over any other school and put the offer on me first as the summer going into my Sophomore year.” Njigba said.

Njigba will visit Arkansas.

“Me and coach Stepp are making plans to come down there,” Njigba said. “I don’t know when yet, though.”

Njigba was asked when he would commit to his school of choice?

“Haha I honestly don’t know,” Njigba said. “I haven’t thought that far down the road. I’m just enjoying the process right now.”

Njigba talked about Arkansas as a whole.

“I trust the Arkansas staff wants the best for me and they’re great coaches but better people,” Njigba said. “I can’t ask for more.”

Njigba currently hold offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Boston College, California, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Memphis, Minnesota, Nebraska, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.
